Choosing a hair transplant doctor and checking credentials

An informed choice involves more than advertising or photographs. Ask about the doctor’s training, direct involvement, the facility’s authorization and follow-up arrangements.

Check the professional

Request the full name and current documents supporting training and permission to practise. Verify them with the appropriate authority or register. Advertised experience and technique abbreviations do not replace these checks.

Different credentials mean different things

The doctor reports ISHRS membership, a Dominican Republic medical licence and recognition of his medical degree in Spain. ISHRS membership does not mean ISHRS board certification. Spanish degree recognition alone does not establish a licence to practise there.

Check the facility separately

The doctor reports Ministry of Public Health authorization for his centre. Professional licensing and authorization of an establishment are separate matters. Request current documentation for the actual location proposed for your procedure.

Responsibility and follow-up

In this practice Dr. Jhanes assesses, diagnoses, plans and directs the procedure with his team. Ask who performs each stage, who responds afterwards and how complications are addressed. Unverified licence numbers or certificates are not published here.
